Marianne & Even’s Wedding at Anse Source d’Argent



Marianne and Even came all the way from Norway for their intimate wedding in Seychelles. They had been planning this day for more than a year, so naturally there were a few little worries along the way. Planning a destination wedding from far away can feel like a lot: the timing, the location, the travel, and all the small details you hope will fall into place.


But when the day arrived, everything felt beautifully simple.


They were staying at Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie Resort & Spa on La Digue, a lovely place to begin a wedding day on the island. From the start, Marianne and Even were such a pleasure to photograph. They were kind, easy to talk to, relaxed with each other, and happy to enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the camera.

For their wedding photos, we went to Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most beautiful places in Seychelles for a wedding, elopement, or couple photo session. I always enjoy photographing there. The granite rocks, soft sand, calm water, and warm island light create such a romantic setting without needing much else.


With Marianne and Even, the session felt gentle and natural. We walked between the rocks, stopped by the water, and let the afternoon unfold slowly. Some moments were quiet and elegant, others were playful and full of warmth. That is what I love most about La Digue wedding photography: the island gives you space to breathe, and the photos can feel honest rather than overly posed.

Tips for a Wedding or Couple Photo Session on La Digue


If you are planning a wedding, elopement, honeymoon, or couple session on La Digue, a little preparation can make the experience much more relaxed.


Choose the right time of day.

Anse Source d’Argent is beautiful at almost any time, but the light changes a lot during the day. Early morning can feel peaceful and quiet, while late afternoon gives softer light and a warmer, more romantic atmosphere. Midday can be very bright, especially on the white sand, so if you prefer soft and flattering photos, timing is important.


Allow more time than you think you need.

La Digue has a calm rhythm, and your photo session should feel the same. It is better not to rush from one spot to another. The beach has many beautiful corners, from shaded rocks to open views of the ocean, and having enough time lets you enjoy the place while we create a variety of images.


Wear something that moves well.

Soft fabrics, light dresses, linen shirts, and natural textures work beautifully in Seychelles. The breeze, the water, and the sand all become part of the photos. If you are wearing a wedding dress, it helps to choose something you can walk in comfortably, especially around the rocks and beach paths.


Bring simple, practical details.

Even if you plan to be barefoot for most of the photos, it is useful to bring sandals for walking between locations. A small towel, water, and a little touch-up kit can also help, especially in the warm tropical weather.


Trust the island and keep things natural.

Anse Source d’Argent already has so much beauty and character. You do not need to over-plan every pose or every detail. The best photos often come from simple movement, real connection, and allowing yourself to be present together.



Marianne and Even’s wedding was a lovely reminder of why Seychelles is such a special place for intimate weddings and elopements. Calm, romantic, warm, and full of natural beauty.
